Social games group misses list but named 'one to recognise'

Mediatonic delight at Tech Track 100 nod

Mediatonic, the London indies specialising in online games, has been named as an up-and-coming private UK company in this year’s Sunday Times Tech Track.

The Tech Track 100 ranks Britain’s 100 private tech companies in terms of revenue growth over the past three years, and though Mediatonic didn’t feature in the top 100 league table it was cited as “one to recognise”.

“This is a fantastic placement for Mediatonic and we’re hugely proud to be recognised by Tech Track 2011,” said the group’s games director Paul Croft.

“We’re experiencing phenomenal demand and as we look forward to expanding further and delivering even more projects to our high standards, we hope to be finding ourselves ranked on more indexes with the reputation of Tech Track.”

Mediatonic today employs around 390 developers since its formation in 2005. The group builds social and mobile titles across a range of operating systems.

Earlier in the year, Mediatonic was entered into Facebook’s own preferred developer program.
