Microsoft opens Windows 8 App Store to developers

Microsoft is now taking app submissions from developers for its Windows 8 App Store.

Set to launch on October 26th, the Windows Store now includes 82 new app submission markets, raising the total number of countries developers can enter games from to 120.

The tech giant is also offering MSDN subscribers a free one-year Windows Store developer account. Eligibile subscriptions including Visual Studio Professional, Test Professional and BizSpark.

Developer tools and the Windows 8 SDK are also available for devs who want to create games for the platform.
