Studio VP to leave company for 'personal reasons'

Mikio Watanabe resigns as Cave COO

The COO of popular Japan shmup developer Cave has resigned from the studio.

Mikio Watanabe said he has left the company for personal reasons, but did not go into further details on his decision to leave.

Watanabe will continue to work at the developer as representative director until the annual shareholder meeting in August.

Cave CEO Ito Masahito will take over all duties as the company’s sole representative director, with no plans for a direct replacement.
