Minecraft on iOS is still on as the Android version is dated for Thursday, according to Mojang.

The iPhone version is “coming eventually”, whilst the new Android version, featuring touch-screen controls, will be released following a period of exclusivity on Sony’s Xperia Play.

The Xperia Play pocket edition of Minecraft has been installed 5,000 to 10,000 times according to its android market page, whilst the PC version has had more than three million downloads.

There are also plans afoot to release the game on Xbox 360 with Kinect functionality.
