Mobile developer Hutch placed in ‘Great Place to Work’ list

UK mobile game developer Hutch has been honored in this years ‘Great Place to Work‘ list.

Mentioned as one of 27 employers in the ‘Small Business’ category, the studio, who make racing games for the mobile market, are the only games developer in the overall list.

The list, which is published by The Guardian and The Sunday Telegraph newspapers, takes surverys from workplaces that make the shortlist to judge the company and working conditions. Hutch, which recently released a game based on the Mattel Hot Wheels franchise and recently secured $5.5 million investment, got a high score from these surveys and cites many initiatives such as working from home twich a week, as reasons for this.

“We’ve got off the line to a great start in 2017, said Hutch CEO, Shaun Rutland. "The studio has experienced fast-paced growth since just five of us founded the studio back in 2011, growing to a workforce of over 50 car enthusiasts today. We have always strived to make Hutch a special place to work, and making it into the Best Workplaces list is not only a huge honour, but supports the fact that this focus has been felt by our crew.”

Whilst no othe games studios were on the list, tools provider Autodesk also made it in the medium company size category.
