Flash-based advert service launches for indie developers

MochiAds opens to public

Mochi Media has launched MochiAds, its new advertising network service for independent developers.

By embedding the MochiAds ActionScript code into their Flash games, indie developers can begin earning revenue by displaying adverts before and in between levels. In addition to sharing revenue with the developers, Mochi can also host the games and submit them through its network of affiliates, including Kongregate.

In addition, Mochi provides the service without any licensing restrictions on the developer, leaving the opportunity open for further distribution or sponsorship deals.

Mochi Media CEO Jameson Hsu said: “We want to support the game development community, and we’re excited to share this opportunity with more people. Our goal is to make our system as easy and useful as possible, so developers can focus on what they love.”
