New expansion Forgotten Shores to be released this week

Monument Valley sells 1.4m

Ustwo’s mind-bending mobile puzzler Monument Valley has sold 1.4 million copies.

The hit paid-for title was released in April earlier this year on iOS winning critical acclaim for its art style, music and gameplay.

Ustwo is now preparing to release Forgotten Shores, a collection of eight new levels costing $1.99 that slots into the existing game.

Speaking to Wired, executive producer Dan Gray said the additions would be like a “director’s cut”.

Earlier this year Monument valley was named as a finalist at the Develop Awards for New IP, while Stafford Bawler took home the accolade for Creative Contribution: Audio for his work on the game’s sound.
