Monumental named ‘innovative business of the year’

Monumental has been named ‘Innovative Business of the Year’ at the Fast Growth Business Awards 2009.

The judging panel, which included James Caan, entrepreneur and star of Dragons’ Den, and founder of MOBO Kanya King, said that it felt Monumental Games could be a household name within a few years, and that it has "both innovative technology and an innovative approach to business, licensing their technology to other game creators and also producing their own games."

“While it is humbling to receive this award, I also feel that it is much deserved, as we have an incredibly dedicated and motivated team at Monumental who have achieved an immense amount over the last year,” said co-founder and CEO Rik Alexander. 

Rocco Loscalzo, co-founder and CEO, added: "It’s a great place to work, and of course that all comes down to working with great people. In the end this award is a testament to that.”
