Nintendo platforms reign supreme for indie developer

Mutant Mudds Deluxe more successful on Wii U than Steam and PSN combined

Renegade Kid plarformer Mutant Mudds Deluxe has sold more copies on the Wii U than Steam, PS3 and Vita combined, claims the game’s developer.

In response to suggestions on Twitter that there was relatively little competition on Wii U, Jools Watsham countered the size of the audience on Steam and PSN was much larger, making the results still somewhat surprising.

To date, the 3DS version is said to have sold the most.

Watsham said he hoped sales would pick up on other platforms, and suggested that currently Vita and PS3 sales of the title did not warrant future releases on the platforms.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe was released on Wii U on June 13th last year, arriving on PSN in December. The 3DS release of the title came out in June 2012 in Europe.
