London Venture Partners backs mobile start-up

New Berlin studio Klang Games nabs investment

New Berlin-based studio Klang Games has received investment from London Venture Partners.

The studio was formed by ex-CCP developers Ívar Emilsson and Oddur Magnússon in 2013. Its first project currently in development is 2D multiplayer platformer ReRunners for mobile and tablets. The game is slated for release later this year.

The amount invested by London Venture Partners was not disclosed.

“We believe that games should have the ability to bring people together through fun, engaging gameplay, and social interaction,” said Magnússon.

“Games must be able to appeal to the everyday gamer in an instantly accessible form, as well as help build a community of like-minded individuals.”
