Inside Game Design covers methods and motivations for design

New book profiles leading game designers

Iain Simons, creative director of Nottingham’s GameCity Festival, has penned a book profiling the methods and motivations of 20 top designers.

Through talking to industry luminaries such as Lorne Lanning, Keita Takahashi and David Braben, the book details the process of game development and the genesis of ideas and designs. This process is further illustrated with concept and finished artwork, charting the progression of ideas from sketches to final production content.

Inside Game Design is published by Laurence King and will be available in October.
