Annual event consolidated as part of Learning Without Frontiers conference series

New dates for Handheld Learning 2010

The Handheld Learning event originally scheduled for October is now taking place in January 2011 as part of the Learning Without Frontiers series of conferences.

The Learning Without Frontiers conferences bring together several events, and hope to visit four global locations, starting with the London event that is to include the new version of Handheld Learning.

The new dates for the conference are January 9th to 11th next year, with Handheld Learning 2010 rebranded as Handheld Learning 2.0.

A statement to the press reads: "As you may know we have recently had a change of government here in the UK. This has brought about a number of changes, creating opportunities that my colleagues and I feel we have had to consider deeply and evolve our plans accordingly.

Learning Without Frontiers has been pitched as a ‘disruptive think tank’, and hopes to connect over 30,000 professionals and opinion formers from the spheres of education, digital media, technology and entertainment to explore new ways to improve learning whilst making it universally accessible.

In the 19 months following on from the UK event, Learning Without Frontiers conferences are due to take place in US, Africa and the Asia Pacific region.
