Tiga issues statement clarifying deadlines, expenses and contacts

New details emerge on GDC â??UK access funds’

Games industry association Tiga has issued a statement to Develop explaining further details on the Trade Access Programme.

Last week Develop reported that UK studios were allowed to claim for as much as £1,800 in travel and expenses for attending either GDC or Gamescom, as part of a wider aim to advertise British talent and business on a global scale. The information, sent over by government arm UKTI, has been described by Tiga as incorrect.

Tiga confirmed to Develop today that it will be offering studios up to £1400, but only to those attending GDC as exhibitors.

Tiga adds that its final date for GDC exhibit applications has been moved to Friday Jan 22.

Contact for the event will be Vanessa Joyce, who you can email here.

Bogus details on the TAP deal remains on the UKTI’s website.
