Nominees given free passes and exhibitor discount

New projects contend for Game Connection demos

Organisers of Game Connection America have called on studios to enter a new contest where fifteen finalists will have their games paraded at the March event.

Studios of any size can submit their console, mobile and online projects to the Game Connection board for consideration.

The opportunity is open to game developers worldwide, providing an unfinished project is submitted. The deadline for entry is January 22nd.

Game Connection will pick fifteen projects to enter into the Selected Projects program – whose creators will receive a free Standard Pass to Game Connection America 2012, including a €700 discount on any exhibitor option.

Finalists will also have their game paraded during a five-minute presentation to high-level publishers, along with a trailer spot on a plasma screen running throughout the show.

One of the final fifteen will be named ‘best project of 2012’.

“Our Selected Projects program is designed to shed light on the most innovative and creative projects that we can find and offers additional exposure to these developers who are constantly pushing the industry forward,” said Connection Events CEO Pierre Carde.

“We are excited to bring Selected Projects to Game Connection America this year and look forward to seeing what the newest crop of nominees will hold.”

Game Connection America takes place in San Francisco from March 5-7th.
