New studio Quadriga opens in Germany

German game design veteran Ralph Stock has opened a new game studio, set to begin development of social and casual games.

Stock, who released his first C64 game back in 1984, is widely regarded as one of the most experienced veterans in the German games industry. He opened his first studio back in 1992, creating a range of PC and console titles.

His new enterprise, Quadriga Games, will focus on creating content for mobile platforms as well as consoles and web browsers. However, the studio will also research and develop Augmented Reality applications.

Quadriga will also work as an outsourcing studio, aiding development on a range of areas from programming to level design. Stock will also act as a games consultant for the firm.
