Halfbrick looking for programmers, artists and designers

New Sydney studio for Fruit Ninja stars

Australia’s Halfbrick Studios is recruiting staff for its “exciting new Sydney office”, according to a job listing from the company.

The Fruit Ninja developer is looking for experienced and junior game designers, programmers and artists to work full time.

The studio wrote: “Staff work in smaller, self directed teams and are given opportunities to contribute to both the design and implementation across all of our games.”

In July the studio also partially acquired The People’s Republic of Animation, the company behind short film The Cat Piano, to “strengthen Halfbrick’s production capabilities”.

The independent developer has worked on titles such as iPhone bestseller Fruit Ninja, now also on Kinect, and the recently released Jetpack Joyride.
