iPhone studio buys Netherlands group Rough Cookie, report claims

Ngmoco steps into Europe after buyout

Ngmoco has acquired its ‘longtime development partner’ Rough Cookie, reports claim.

The acquisition would give Ngmoco its first office in Europe as the company continues to build an ambitious global social network for mobile games.

Industry website Techcrunch said
Rough Cookie was acquired “to add creative power to Ngmoco’s internal game development studios”.

Rough Cookie has built a number of iOS titles, including We Farm Android and We City Android. It builds content for the three main mobile operating systems; Apple iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7.

Ngmoco was bought by the Dena, the Japanese social games gaint, back in October 2010.

Under Dena’s plans, Ngmoco is dedicating resources into building a global mobile game network, called Mobage.
