Scaleform has revealed to Develop that its leading UI tool will be available for free on a future edition of the Unreal Development Kit.
Earlier today Scaleform and Epic Games announced a landmark deal that sees the user interface tool bundled with Unreal Engine 3 at no extra charge.
However, the Maryland-based middleware group wants to go one better, confirming that Scaleform GFx will soon be free to use on UDK for non-commercial use.
UDK is Epic Games’ popular free-to-use version of the Unreal Engine. During it first week of availability, over 50,000 users had installed the platform.
Later this year, users downloading the UDK will also get Scaleform GFx thrown in.
