Now zombies invade Red Dead

Rockstar has released a teaser image for the next Red Dead Redemption DLC – and it seems that zombies are about to enter the fray.

Called The Undead Nightmare, the download sees star John Marston looking to rid the Wild West of a contagious zombie plague. Included are new weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures, some brand new gameplay mechanics and some new multiplayer functions.

Zombies are very much the fashion in games at the moment. Microsoft’s Crackdown 2, which came out in July, introduced endless hoards of the undead to the series for the first time. Zombies have also been confirmed for a reappearance in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

And even Japanese gangster series Yakuza is going down the undead route.
