Studio of former Autodesk exec releases Dr Seuss iPhone App

Oceanhouse Media’s first game project public

Oceanhouse Media, which was founded by former CEO of Presto Studios and director of business development at Autodesk, Michel Kripalani, has today released its first game project.

Previously Kripalani’s studio has focused on non-gaming Apps such as calandas and audibooks.

Now the firm has published a duo of iPhone Apps that welcome in the festive season. Based on the beloved picture book How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the Grinchmas game introduces players to combining snowball throwing and present giving, while Dr. Seuss Camera – The Grinch Edition offers a Christmas card maker that harnesses the functionality of the iPhone camera.

In the wake of the two Dr Seuss-themed apps Oceanhouse is to release an e-book version of the 1957 publication of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, further broadening its game development remit.

Oceanhouse can now boast of over 65 Apps on the iTunes store.

Check back with Develop over the coming days for an interview with Kripalani about his plans for the company.
