Oculus acquires Xbox 360 controller designer Carbon

Oculus VR has swooped up Carbon Design Group in its latest talent grab, purchasing the Xbox 360 controller creators for an unknown amount and under undisclosed terms.

Oculus announced in a post on the company’s official blog that the deal is expected to close this summer, adding that the VR firm has been working with the Seattle-based studio on multiple unannounced projects since the middle of 2013.

"As part of the deal, the team will officially become a key component of the product engineering group at Oculus, operating from the Carbon studio in the Seattle area,” the virtual reality company stated.

“They’ll also be working closely with the Oculus R&D team based out of Redmond.”
