3D event defies economic downturn to return bigger than ever

One week until Imagina 2009 begins

The Imagina 2009 conference is set to return to Monaco next week, bigger than ever before despite the accelerating effect of the credit crunch.

“Despite the troubled economic climate, there has been a 30 per cent increase both in the size of the exhibiting areas and in the number of new exhibitors registered for Imagina 2009,” revealed the event’s director general, Laurent Puons, in an interview with Develop posted today.

“Such a positive result supports the strategic choices we made to ensure that Imagina is Europe’s leading event for design solutions and visualisation, and simulation-based decision making.”

Imagina will welcome speakers and visitors from industries as diverse as architecture, town planning, engineering, special effects and game development. The conference is divided into three main sectors, titled Architecture and Urbanism, Landscape and Territory and finally Industry and Media and Entertainment.
