OptiTrack debuts new mo-cap camera range

Motion capture hardware and tools outfit OptiTrack has released the first a new range of high-end cameras designed for use in large-volume performance spaces.

Suitable for capture volumes that extend up to 150 feet , and promising ‘pixel-for-pixel’ tracking precision, the Prime Series range is conceived with developers, VFX houses, laboratories and academic institutions in mind.

The series’ debut product, the Prime 41, offers 4.1MP resolution, an 80 foot camera-to-marker range, 180 FPS capture rate and, infrared strobes usable with other film, video and photography equipment.
