July event boosted as four key Sony Japan speakers sign up

Patapon and Echochrome masterminds to speak at Develop conference

July’s Develop conference will offer delegates insight into the production of two acclaimed Sony titles, Patapon and Echochrome.

Atsushi Ii, the director of Japanese studio Pyramid, will take to the stage with Junichi Yoshizawa, associate producer at SCE Worldwide Japan Studio to present insight into the development of rhythm-action Patapon in one session.

Another session, meanwhile, will see puzzler Echochrome be examined by JSPS/Kyushu University’s Jun Fujiki – who devised the game’s concept – and Tatsuya Suzuki, director of the game at SCE Worldwide Japan Studio.

The two recently released games have been praised by critics for their inventive concepts.

The Develop conference and expo takes runs from July 29th to 31st in Brighton, UK.

“We are privileged to welcome Ii-san, Yoshizawa-san, Fujiki-san and Suzuki-san to the Develop Conference and are thrilled that we can offer our delegates the opportunity to be inspired by what can only be described as some of the most creative video games designers on the planet,” said managing director Andy Lane.
