PathEngine, the firm behind the PathEngine advanced path-finding SDK, has announced the release of version 5.24 of the kit.
The firm has said that the latest upgrade includes support for path-finding from multiple start points, optimisations to speed up path-finding in multiple situations, improvements to the curved path functionality, several bug fixes and helper methods for debug rendering.
The new kit is available at the PathEngine downloads page.
PathEngine has been available in different permutations since 2002. The software uses a “points of visibility path finding” technique, where the agent takes into account dynamic obstacles and agent shape when navigating between points.
