Free-to-play action RPG Mytheon from Universe at War dev to avoid subscription fees

Petroglyph opts for microtransactions

Petroglyph, the studio behind Universe at War, has revealed that it is developing an online game built around microtransactions, due for release in Autumn 2009.

Petroglyph’s free-to-play action strategy RPG Mytheon, which is being published by US online company True Games Interactive, will cost the consumer nothing to download and play. Additional virtual items however, will incur small charges.
