Physics engine provider Ageia and developer Bioware are teaming up, with PhysX set to be integrated into the studio's Eclipse game engine.

PhysX boosts Bioware engine

Bioware’s Eclipse is used for building all the team’s next-gen and PC titles. PhysX allows the team to integrate real-time physics functions for use on both the PhysX PC processor and next-gen consoles.

“There’s no reason to reinvent the wheel when you have a world-class, easy-to-implement physics solution such as AGEIA PhysX technology,” said BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka. “AGEIA PhysX will deliver mind-blowing physics action for games using BioWare’s next-generation game engine.”
