PlayStation Revolution documentary to premiere at Power Up event at London’s Science Museum

A new documentary by Anthony Caulfield and Nicola Caulfield, the filmmakers behind From Bedrooms to Billionaires, will debut at the Power Up gaming event at the Science Museum in London.

The new documentary, PlayStation Revolution, will look back at the history of the Sony console from its inception in the early to mid-90s to the success it has now as part of mainstream gaming culture. The movie was made thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign.

The movie will also be accompanied by a panel offering commentary on the documentary. On the panel will be former President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Phil Harrison, co-founder of Sensible Software, Jon Hare and Rebellion’s Chris Kingsley and Jason Kingsley OBE, along with the filmmakers

The documentary and panel will be on Wednesday 25th October, at the Science Museum’s IMAX Theatre, starting at 7:30 with tickets costing £5.

The Power Up event itself will open on Friday 20th October until Monday 30th October and follows the theme of The Evolution of Video Games. The event features over 180 classic and retro games consoles which chart the history of the video games in the home, as well as many classic arcade cabinets. The event will be split into many eras from the past and will also feature some of the future of video games with mobile and VR.
