Swedish online games firm using popular project management solution to aid expansion

PowerChallenge signs up Hansoft

Karlskrona, Sweden-headquartered PowerChallenge has signed up to use Hansoft’s project management software as it expands its company.

PowerChallenge makes a range of online sport and action titles supported with community features. Earlier this year it merged with ManagerZone to strengthen its games stable and also received $8m investment from Benchmark Capital.

With the imminent opening of offices in Stockholm and New York, the firm is moving towards a multi-site structure which will be aided by Hansoft’s project management software.

”PowerChallenge is a rapidly growing game development company with high demands on finding a flexible and swift project model and thereby an equally flexible project tracking tool that supports the model in full.

"Agile practises were adopted early on in the growth phase and Hansoft was quickly proven the best system on the market. It supports our geographically separated development organization and it brings teams and individuals easy-to-use and powerful functions for managing the game development in real-time, across offices, in every level of the production; from developer and tester to producer and product owner," commented Richard Kronfält, executive producer at the firm.

Patric Palm, MD of Hansoft: “PowerChallenge is a world leader in online gaming and we are obviously thrilled to provide them with Hansoft for their exciting projects. Using Hansoft will help them coordinate all their talent across several studios. We are very much looking forward to see the results in the new titles coming out.”
