Heavy Rain to feature Omegame's UI tech

Quantic Dream picks Menus Master

French developer Quantic Dream has licensed Omegame’s Menus Master.

It will be using the toolchain, which aims to put control of UI design and implementation into artists’ hands, for the forthcoming PS3 title Heavy Rain.

“Heavy Rain will be a very unique entertainment experience," said Guillaume de Fondaumière, o-CEO of Quantic Dream and executive producer of Heavy Rain.

"We want to immerse audiences emotionally in the story, make them care for the characters and what happens to them. The user interface, which is the link between the game and the player, is therefore very important. We benchmarked different technologies available on the market, and finally selected Menus Master as it was the only solution providing both great artistic possibilities and easy integration within our in-house engine and tools.”

Sebastien Kohn, sales & marketing director for Omegame, added: “We are very proud Quantic Dream has decided to use Menus Master. The team strives for excellence in all production areas and it is an honor for us to be associated with Heavy Rain, one of the most highly anticipated titles worldwide."
