The CEO of French dev Quantic Dream to talk on interactive narrative

Quantic’s Cage to keynote Euro GDC

Quantic Dream CEO David Cage will keynote the upcoming European Game Developer’s Conference.

Cage, the figurehead in projects such as Fahrenheit and the upcoming Heavy Rain, is set to deliver a keynote entitled ‘writing interactive narrative for a mature audience’.

Cage will give a speech on why mature games are necessary, discuss the challenges in interactive storytelling, and offer advice on how developers can progress in the field.

The Quantic Dream co-founder said he was “excited” to participate in the event, which is set to commence from August 17-19 in Cologne, Germany.

“With the game audience maturing, we feel it’s important to share visions and ideas to define how our industry should now evolve,” he added.

“I am convinced more than ever that the most important next gen feature is emotion. How to trigger more complex emotions is our biggest challenge in the coming years.”

Cage joins a growing list of industry luminaries participating in the Think Services event, from the likes of Peter Molyneux to Remedy MD Matias Myllyrinne.
