Rare, Epic and Cloud Imperium to speak at Search for a Star finals

This year’s Search for a Search and Rising Star finals have lined up some big names from the world of games.

Run by development education advocate Grads in Games in partnership with recruitment firm Aardvark Swift, the free conferences are aimed at students and academics and are split across two events: Art Finals and Code Finals.

The Art Finals will take place on March 31st at Staffordshire University and feature attendance from Playground Games, NaturalMotion and Freestyle Games.

There will also be talks from Epic Games, Rare, Cloud Imperium, Unity, Autodesk and Pixel Blast.

The Code Finals will be held on April 4th at Microsoft’s Reading campus and feature expo stands from Microsoft, Sumo Digital, Playground Games and Exient.

Speaking at the show will be Frontier Developments CEO and founder David Braben, plus representatives of Exient, BossAlien, Rare, Sumo Digital and former Lionhead Studios intern Joshua Mallet.

Both days double as a day of judging for the Search for a Star and Rising Star competitions, the finalists for which will be revealed next week.
