AI middleware to be used for new Xbox 360 title

Rare licences PathEngine

Rare has licenced AI technology PathEngine for an unannounced Xbox 360 title.

PathEngine is a modular middleware solution that provides path finding based on visibility and avoidance of dynamic obstacles. The technology has also recently been licenced by Japanese online game developer GungHo Entertainment and by ArenaNet for Guild Wars 2.

Rare is currently working on Banjo Tooie, as well as other unannounced projects.
