New features for iClone 6 Animation Pipeline, Character Creator and Live Motion Capture System showcased at last week’s tech fest

Reallusion shows off latest iClone updates at Siggraph

Realluision used this year’s Siggraph conference to debut three new features for its flagship iClone range of software.

Firstly, the iClone 6 Animation Pipeline has been updated to support Unity, Unreal Engine and Autodesk’s upcoming Stingray game engine. It also features the new 3DXchange 6 to help devs import, animate and export content to any game engine or 3D application.

Meanwhile, the iClone Character Creator is introducing an on-demand 3D character designer application that lets users build custom characters from scratch. Models can be built with dynamic morphs and conforming cloth, cosmetics and fabrics, as well as a variety of skin tones and ageing effects.

Characters created with this software are fully rigged and ready for both animation and lip sync, whether that’s via other iClone products, leading game engines or other 3D tools.

Finally, the iClone Live Motion Capture System features the Perception Neuron mo-cap suit, created by Noitom and designed as an affordable mo-cap solution. The system imports any character rig into iClone so that you can see your motion performance reflected in real-time with your in-game characters.
