Record number of registrations for Brains Eden 2016

The organisers behind Brains Eden have revealed that there have been more registrations than ever for this year’s event.

The festival attracts games development students from all over the UK and Europe, and gives participants the chance to win internships as part of a 48-hour game jam. To date, more than 30 students have received internships through Brains Eden and eight have secured full-time roles at major studios.

This year’s Brains Eden will take place from June 24th to 27th and will once again take place at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. The four-day festival has attracted the support of leading games firms such as Unity, ARM, PlayStation First, Guerrilla Cambridge and Jagex.

“Getting to see the best new talent is one of the key recruitment challenges in our industry,"said Guerrilla’s senior producer Mark Green. "That’s why events like Brains Eden are so important. They give us the chance to meet some of the very, very best.”

ARU’s Kate Drewett added: “We are delighted to be hosting Brains Eden for the eighth year in our new purpose built facility Compass House. Cambridge is one of the UK’s 12 games clusters so it is fitting that it should be home to such an amazing event.”
