Develop has been informed by online payment solutions provider Skrill of the countries where Mojang Specification’s sensationally popular world building game is downloaded most.
The US tops the list, while the UK and Canada take second and third places respectively.
The full list is as follows, starting with the country that is the source of the most Minecraft downloads:

3. Canada
4. France
5. Germany
6. Australia
7. Japan
8. Sweden
9. Denmark
10. Netherlands
Minecraft launched in 2009, and at the last count boasted 11,967,488 registered users, of which 3,145,872 – over 26 per cent – have bought the game. It has seen traffic from an impressive 112 countries, and shows little sign of fading from popularity.
Today Skrill confirmed that it has signed a deal with Mojang that will see the former handle the game’s various payment systems.
