Troubled Scottish studio goes all-out to ensure a future for its struggling MMORPG

RTW restructures to keep APB alive

Realtime Worlds, currently in administration, has announced a UK restructure in an attempt to create a business stable enough to support APB as “an ongoing online service for current and future players.”

The firm has said that its latest title, which has received a mixed response from press and public alike, will continue to function in the US and Europe with full game and community support.

Future updates and patches have also been promised, with a patch on the ‘Public Test World’ of the game having gone live this week.

The joint administrator of RTW, Paul Dounis of rescue firm Begbies Traynor, assured the APB community of the company’s commitment to keeping its title live while the search for a buyer continues.

“We want to offer reassurance to gamers that APB will not only continue as an online service but will be improved and supported 100 per cent during this restructure,” he said.
