Northwest Vision and Media has announced that Sony Computer Entertainment is to host a presentation on indie game development on its PlayStation Network at the upcoming Get In The Game event in Liverpool.
20 free places are currently on offer for SCE’s workshop, which promises to provide an insight on working with Sony and also touch upon topics such as user-centred design, pitching to publishers and audience research.
“This is the first of what we hope to be many collaborative projects in the North West,” Northwest Vision and Media’s head of games and digital content Enda Carey stated. “Get In The Game is a chance for companies in the region to be introduced to Sony and understand more about how to work with a major platform owner and publisher. Northwest Vision and Media are delighted to be piloting this project.”
Phil Gaskell, senior producer at SCEE’s XDev Studio Europe added: “The North West has given birth to a significant number of successful games developers and publishers over the years. Northwest Vision and Media are perfectly positioned to help SCE XDev Studio Europe’s continued efforts in supporting and nurturing that talent pool for the future, especially in light of the new digital distribution channels.”
Get In The Game will take place at the Liverpool Technology Park on November 27th.
