DRM-free version of adventure game 'available to backers only'

Schafer details Kickstarter game as fund nears $2m

Double Fine’s new adventure game funded by a Kickstarter campaign will be released on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android, the studio’s creative director has said.

Tim Schafer also told backers of the project that they will be able to play a Beta of the game through Steam, and eventually acquire a DRM-free edition of the title. Non-backers will not have the privileges.

The Adventure game will also now feature English voice acting, on top of localisation into French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

The Kickstarter campaign, widely seen as the most successful crowdfunding project ever, has now raised nearly $2 million with 26 days of funding remaining.
