THQ-published title Stacking will launch across digital channels

Schafer reveals second download project

Popular game developer Tim Schafer has revealed the second in his studio’s new collection of four independent download titles.

His company Double Fine is finishing work on a puzzle adventure game entitled Stacking, due on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in Spring 2011.

Having lost a deal with EA on developing a Brutal Legend sequel – a decision that put the studio at risk – Double Fine pitched eight small indie titles to a range of publishers.

Four were signed, and the recently-released Costume Quest became the first to release to market via THQ, which will also publish Stacking.

News site IGN has published a preview on the title.
