Star-studded Japanese indie developer to merge with ODD Corporation

Seeds blossoms into Platinum Games

apanese developer Seeds has announced that it will merge with a company called ODD Corporation to form a new company, Platinum Games.

In a message on the Seeds website, the studio writes that the name change will take place from October 1st, and represents ‘a new step forward for the company.’

Seeds was formed after Capcom’s boutique studio Clover was shut down in 2006, and comprises of famed Capcom staff such as Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and Viewtiful Joe luminary Atsushi Inaba.
