Developer says title will 'set a new standard for sports games in this genre'

Sega signs Eurocom for next Olympics game

Following the success of its Wii Sonic/Mario Olympic games mash-up title this Christmas, Sega has signed up UK developer Eurocom for a PS3/360/PC take on the global sporting event.

Beijing 2008 will "will set a new standard for sports games in this genre.” said Hugh Binns, director of Eurocom in the game’s announcement.

Eurocom is very familiar with the Olympic games licence – it developed Athens 2004 for SCEE.
