Production house provided 38 hours of vocal performance for Lionhead's epic

Side hired for Fable 2

Side has revealed that it was hired to work on Fable 2, Lionhead and Microsoft’s epic Xbox 360 RPG.

The project was a massive task for Side, which used over 45 actors to play nearly 200 speaking roles. Four voice directors were used to ensure consistency, while the actual recording process ran concurrently in two of Side’s studios for over three months. In total, over 370,000 words of dialogue were recorded – amounting to 38 hours of material.

“Fable 2 was a real pleasure to work on," said Andy Emery, creative director of Side. "We realised this was going to be something special as soon as we saw the superb script. The widespread critical acclaim for the performances in Fable 2 show the impact a great script, cast and direction can make”

Peter Molyneux added: “The sheer amount of dialogue in Fable 2 meant this was a massive project. Side rose to this challenge in a professional and efficient way. They have done a great job for us.”
