Studio director, art director and producer co-found Detonator Games

SOE vets leave to form new studio

Key staff from Sony Online Entertainment’s Seattle studo, which is developing new PC/PS3 MMO The Agency, have left to form a new company.

Detonator Games was formed at the start of the month by Matt Wilson, Corey Dangle and John Smith.

At SOE they were studio head/executive producer, art direct and producer respectively – they have similar roles at their new venture.

Each has over 15 years development experience, most recently in the production of The Agency.

The new outfit was formed to "bring the best of social entertainment to the emerging world of mobile and social networks" says its official site.

SOE says the upcoming title’s production is unaffected by the loss of the key staff.
