Education Program and Graduate Program to enhance XSI teaching

Softimage launches education services

Softimage has unveiled its newly-expanded 2008 Education Program, offering specialised curriculums to help instructors teach XSI effectively.

The firm has at the same time launched the Softimage Graduate Program, which gives a free one-year commercial XSI Essentials licence worth $2,995 to students who graduate from a recognised Softimage education partner. This enables students to start accepting freelance work as soon as they graduate, helping build experience to facilitate the job-seeking process.

“To meet the increasing demand for Softimage|XSI 3D artists worldwide, we’re kicking off series of focused educational initiatives starting with the new Softimage certification program for instructors and compelling post-graduation incentives for students,” said Marc Stevens, general manager of Softimage and vice president of Avid Technology.

“Extensive input from our educational partners has helped shape these new programs in terms of meeting the needs of both the schools and the students. There has never been a better time to teach or learn Softimage|XSI.”
