Stylistic shift confirmed in magazine cover

Spector exposes Epic Mickey

Warren Spector’s Disney-owned Junction Point studio has finally shed light on its long-rumoured Epic Mickey project.

The cover story on the upcoming Game Informer magazine reveals that Epic Mickey will be a Wii-exclusive title.

The art style suggested by the magazine cover is strikingly distant to the traditions of Disney, with the entertainment enterprise even allowing Spector’s team to revise the precisely-formed composition of its money-spinning mascot. Previous leaked artwork suggested the game has a strong steampunk theme as well.

Developer Junction Point was acquired by Disney back in 2007. Epic Mickey has been in development since then, with speculation on its existence surfacing late in 2008.
