The Fluid Pixel director on why he's heading to the industry conference in Gateshead

Stuart Varrall’s GameHorizons

Why do you support the GameHorizon conference?
It’s a great way of raising the profile of the region and the great work that’s done here with a wider audience.

Why is it important to have an exec level conference in Europe?
It’s not often you can walk from the office to a world class conference and meet with the wide range of like-minded people from around the world.

The conference is small in terms of numbers does this have any benefits?
It’s a lot easier to interact with other delegates, there aren’t five different venues all competing for your and the other delegates time. When you can get everyone you want to meet at the one party that’s happening it can only be a good thing.

What are you looking forward to most about the conference?
I’m interested in hearing Heiko’s story from a small studio to a dominating force. Also, Louis Castle has a lot of history in the industry and I’m sure has a few interesting stories to tell.

What do you think of Ian Livingstone returning for the fourth year?
I’m just looking forward to beating him again at the yearly poker tournament.
