New Year, New Job 2015: Apply before January 16th for the chance to get a placement at Sheffield studio

Sumo Digital’s undergraduate programme closes this week

Students in their final year of university only have a week left to apply for a place in Sumo Digital’s undergraduate programme.

The initiative is open to anyone studying games programming, development or computer science that requires an industrial placement as part of their third year. Two places have been reserved for students from Sheffield Hallam University, while the last place is open to anyone from across the UK.

The 12-month placement itself will start in September 2015, but applications must be sent in by Friday, January 16th 2015. Head to Sumo’s careers page to apply.

Sumo is looking for applicants averaging with a 1st classification in their studies and plenty of examples of good C++ work.

The Shieffield-based studio is best known for its work on the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing series, as well as last year’s LittleBigPlanet 3. It also worked with Playground Games on Xbox One racer Forza Horizon 2.
