New game features iconic characters from Sega's back catalogue

Sumo to make new Sega tennis title

Sega has signed up Foundation 9-owned Sumo Digital to make a new multi-format tennis game.

Sega Superstars Tennis is heading for PS2, PS3, 360, Wii and DS and is due early next year. Sumo is including characters from Sonic, Space Channel Five (pictured), Super Monkey Ball, Samba De Amigo and other Sega titles in the game.

Sega seems to be making a habit of mixing classic IP with sports – it has put together the new Mario and Sonic at the Olympics title which mixes its IP with Nintendo’s and the much-coveted Olympic Games brand.
