Puzzle & Dragons to feature new Clash of Clans-inspired content

Supercell teams with GungHo for game cross-over

Two of mobile gaming’s most successful developers Supercell and GungHo Entertainment have teamed up to provide new in-game content for their flagships titles.

GungHo’s hugely popular Puzzle & Dragons will soon feature special content related to Supercell’s Clash of Clans, including a themed dungeon and new monsters, which players will be able to fight and collect.

Clash of Clans and Hay Day meanwhile will feature “extensive” cross-promotions for Puzzle & Dragons.

The special cross-over content will launch on June 24th and will only run for two weeks.

“It is an honour to announce the collaboration of Puzzle & Dragons and the Supercell games, Hay Day and Clash of Clans,” said GungHo CEO Kazuki Morishita.

“Supercell and GungHo share the same approach to game development so it seemed only natural to collaborate together. We will continuously support each other and our shared vision of delivering fun and exciting gameplay to everyone.”

Clash of Clans, Hay Day and Puzzle & Dragons are two of the highest grossing mobile apps in the world. GungHo is currently valued at around $15 billion, and is said to be generating nearly $4million a day.

Supercell’s two flagship titles meanwhile were said to be making $2.4 million a day as of mid-April.
